Whitworth Art Gallery flies the flag
The Whitworth Art Gallery, part of the University of Manchester, recently acquired about 20 examples of a range of Georgina von Etzdorf Archive pieces. They were keen to collect a wide variety of techniques from classic hand, flat bed silkscreen prints, through digital prints via embroidery, applique, patchwork, stitch, recycled and found objects. The pieces will be available to view later this year. For more details contact martin@gve.co.uk or visit www.whitworth.manchester.ac.uk.
Creative Arts Collaboration
The Craft Study Centre, Farnham, part of the University of the Creative Arts is now the proud owner of a number of Georgina von Etzdorf Archive pieces. The venue is particularly appropriate as it also houses work by a number of craftspeople who taught Georgina and Martin at Camberwell School of Art back in the 70's, namely Susan Bosence, Barbara Sawyer, Peter Collingwood and John Hinchcliffe. The pieces should be available to view at the centre later this year. For more info contact martin@gve.co.uk or visit www.csc.ucreative.ac.uk and speak to Simon Olding.
